Overview

As the assistant technical director, you will be hands on, collaborating with the technical director in fulfilling the scenic designer’s vision for all Hartford Stage productions. You are an incredible draftsperson who enjoys creative problem solving and figuring out complex problems. You are detailed oriented, focusing on efficient execution of construction of the design.

Skills and Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to the integrity of a scenic design

A full familiarity and proficiency with AutoCAD and standard construction techniques

Comprehensive understanding of stage rigging, theatrical machinery, and basic electronics
