Fabrication Assistant

Job Description:

• Under the direction of the Artist and Fabrication Manager assist with fabrication of artwork within the studio
• Sampling, technical development, organization, planning, and fabrication of artworks 

Qualifications and Skills:

• BA in Fine Arts preferred, with a focus in sculpture 
• Experience in the fabrication and handling of artworks
• Fabrication expertise in a wide range of materials and processes preferred especially plaster casting, mold making, woodworking and metalworking
• Very high level of organization
• Highly motivated with strong work ethic and punctuality
• Familiarity with OSHA standards
• Valid Driver’s license preferred 
• Forklift certification is a plus
• Ability to communicate and work well with a small and tight knit team
• Willingness to take initiative and responsiblity, and complete tasks fully 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75lbs
• Ability to stand and work phyically for 8 hours 

Position Details: 

• Full time, 40 hours a week 
• Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm
• Paid holidays, vacation days, health insurance and 401K option
