Job Summary
Provides a wide range of visitors with an informative, enjoyable and memorable experience by supporting all functions (posts) of Visitor Services, including assisting with parking operations and ticketing, handling general information calls, ticketing for events, assisting with business visitors, staffing the information desk, the coat check, the audio guide distribution desks, ticket offices, event welcome tables and ushering duties at performance and lecture events among other tasks. May be required to work with cash handling and financial transactions. Provides assistance with general information and directions.
$1,200 signing bonus*
*Individuals hired on or after April 4, 2022, and no later than June 30, 2022 are eligible for a one time signing bonus, which will be paid after successful completion of the introductory period (generally 90 days of employment).
Responsibilities:
Applies basic knowledge of visitor services to routine tasks
Provides assistance to visitors and staff in the Parking Office
Responds to general questions and visitor needs including providing wheelchairs, strollers and umbrellas
Maintains appearance of public transition spaces
Distributes, collects and provides basic maintenance of audio guides and assisted listening devices
Provides coverage in the Call Center and information desks by answering questions, providing information and assisting with ticketed events
Assists with groups, school groups and events at both locations
Qualifications:
High School/GED
Minimum 1-2 years related experience including cash handling
Valid California drivers license with fewer than 3 DMV points
Requirement:

Knowledge/ Abilities/ Skills
Basic computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications
Performs routine support tasks that require familiarity with staff, projects, programs, methods and practices
Applies basic knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and other information to routine tasks in core area of responsibility
Fluency in one or more foreign language preferred
Strong customer service/interpersonal skills
