Artistic Director

Nashville Children’s Theatre (NCT), the oldest professional children’s theatre in the U.S., seeks a visionary and collaborative leader as its next Artistic Director. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the artistic future of NCT, known for its high-quality productions and transformative educational programming.
The Artistic Director will oversee season planning, direct productions, and lead the creative team while collaborating closely with the Managing Director and Board of Trustees. Ideal candidates will bring a passion for youth-centered theatre, a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and strong artistic and financial leadership skills.

NCT is committed to equitable hiring practices. Semi-finalist candidates will receive $300 for participation, and finalists will be paid $1,250 plus reimbursed travel expenses.
