The Pennsylvania Ballet Studio Receptionist is a part-time position.  The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to parents, students, dancers, staff, visitors, and other guests of the Pennsylvania Ballet.  Additionally, the Receptionist will ensure compliance with health and safety protocols required for entry to the facilities.  The Receptionist will also provide administrative support to other Departments including Operations, Artistic Staff and the School of Pennsylvania Ballet (SPB). 
Essential Functions: Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location. Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols required for entry to the facilities. Maintain security by following procedures, monitoring security cameras and guest visits. Respond to inquiries and provide general information about Pennsylvania Ballet and the School of Pennsylvania Ballet. Monitor & communicate studio schedules, rentals, and conference room booking. Make daily & weekly tours of the campus to ensure all areas are functioning effectively. Communicate maintenance requests to appropriate personnel or contractors based on priority. Maintain a tidy appearance of the reception area, restrooms, and kitchenette. Other clerical/administrative duties as requested. Expected Hours of Work: The Studio is open from 8:00am to 9:00pm weekdays and most weekends.  Shifts will be primarily evenings with up to 10 working hours per week. Required Education, Experience and Competencies: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of work experience in customer service or support role. Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to interact well with children and adults. Ability to follow direction. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to problem solve. Must pass criminal and child abuse background checks.
