About the role:

This is a part-time, hourly role. Pay is based on market rate and experience. You must be a fast learner, self-starter, and meticulously organized multi-tasker who strives in a fast-paced environment and has excellent interpersonal skills. This role will wear a lot of hats and be the point person at the gallery, assisting the director/curator. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about the art world, galleries, and art handling. 


Duties include:

-coordinating installations, shipping, special events 

-assisting in planning and coordinating exhibitions

- hanging artwork

-shipping artwork

- maintaining relationships with collectors and emailing sales pdfs

-sending invoices to collectors and maintaining inventory documents

-developing and cultivating new collectors

-maintaining relationships with press and sending media kits

- marketing, social media posts, writing press releases

-organizing and cleaning the gallery


You will have: 

2-3 years of experience in sales or arts-related field

Knowledge or willingness to learn about contemporary art

Experience hanging and shipping artwork

Solid administrative and organizational skills with great attention to detail.

Strong and clear verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment alone, and as part of a team, while taking on simultaneous projects. Must be comfortable using Google Docs, and Photoshop.

*Role is part-time. Hours fluctuate depending on the exhibition schedule. Pay is commensurate with experience.
