Women Pulling at the Threads of Social Discourse

The Contemporary Art Modern Project (CAMP) and Fiber Artists Miami Association (FAMA) are partnering with the Museum of Contemporary Art in Westport, CT. for a forty-artist exhibition held at MoCA from June 30–September 4, 2022. The exhibition, a textile survey of the ways in which gender, culture, and sociopolitics intersect, was the inaugural collaboration for CAMP and FAMA’s annual exhibition, Women Pulling at the Threads of Social Discourse, in 2020.

Wells Art Contemporary 2022 Exhibition

Wells Art Contemporary (WAC), returns in 2022 for its 11th edition. Established in 2012 by artists for artists, Wells Art Contemporary (WAC) is an open competition for innovative visual art. Based in the beautiful cathedral city of Wells, Somerset, this yearly exhibition aims to support creatives, stimulate debate, and push the boundaries of the visual arts scene both nationally and internationally.

Earth Photo 2022

Earth Photo, the international competition and exhibition, is proud to announce its 2022 shortlist and national exhibitions. Created by Forestry England and the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), Earth Photo rewards photographs and videos that tell stories about the planet, its inhabitants and its future. 

The shortlisted images will be available to see in the Earth Photo exhibition, opening at the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), London, and touring to six Forestry England sites.

Mariette Pathy Allen began photographing the transgender community in the late 1970s. Through her artistic practice, she has been a pioneering force in gender consciousness, contributing to numerous cultural and academic publications about gender variance and lecturing across the globe.
