No Ordinary Eyes

Open until April 24th, come and see my 19 image exhibition that challenges everyone to rethink what they are seeing. There are a number of bright, bold abstracts intermingled with soothing images that are guaranteed to bring you joy, make you smile and to leave you with a positive feeling.

In addition to the Opening Reception, I'm attending on Sunday April 14th and Sunday April 21st between 1:30-3:30pm and invite everyone to come along, say hi and enjoy the gallery.

Snow-blind

Sarah Kernohan’s work is rooted in memory, experiences of landscape, and fascination with the interaction between geological, atmospheric, and ocean processes and phenomena. Snow-blind is a continuation of these investigations, responding to an experience of landscape that is ambiguous and difficult to visually apprehend on account of atmospheric and light conditions.

The drawings in this exhibition are informed by her experiences visiting alpine terrain in northern Scotland and Alberta, where snowpack has been dwindling over the years.

Material Flow - Christine Dewancker

Inspired by the life cycle of materials and how these materials are encountered in our everyday environments, Material Flow incorporates industrial building practices to create works which foreground the body and organic forms. Each piece brings forth a sensual quality of the material, positioning it in direct contrast with its utilitarian origin. Christine is an artist currently living in Toronto, Canada.

Jim Bourke - Together / Apart

The Red Head Gallery is pleased to present, TOGETHER / APART, an exhibition by Jim Bourke.

I have long been interested in the physical interaction between people in public spaces; particularly with how we adapt to having strangers in close proximity.  ‘Social distancing’ has introduced a new dance into the complex rhythm of the city.

These works are a reflection of how this dance has changed our lives.
