HERD

11 July – 16 July

Locations across Kirklees

Over six magical days from 11 – 16 July 2023, 23 larger-than-life sheep sculptures, wired for sound, unlike any you’ve ever seen or heard, will appear in surprising places across the Kirklees countryside. This vibrant, musical odyssey and largescale participatory project traces the cultural and industrial story of Kirklees, through its many musical traditions, from brass to boliyaan, choral and gospel, beatboxing, Carnatic singing and much more.

The Art of Networking: Building Relationships in the Art World

Open to artists of all levels, this session will give you the confidence to build your professional network, raise your profile and get ahead! Growing your network can be the key to finding representation (galleries, agents, publishers), collaborating on exhibitions, and attracting new art buyers and collectors.

VAA In Person Networking Event - Oxford

This June the VAA is holding an in-person Networking Opportunity in Oxford for artists.

Our networking meet-up is open to all artists, both members and non-members of the Visual Artists Association. This will take the form of an hour-long informal catch up. You will have the chance to grab a coffee, meet like-minded working artists, and form a community with those local to you.

For our Oxford based artists, this event will be taking place at the Art Café, 14 Bonn Square, Oxford, at 3:00 pm on Monday the 5th of June. Admission is free to all.
