Alexandra Leroux: Divine Animal - Solo Online Exhibition

We are thrilled to announce the online solo exhibition Divine Animal by photographer Alexandra Leroux. In Divine Animal, Leroux uses a process of decomposing movement to transform the representation of animals. The works compel us to recognize the significance of perception itself—"Even if the thing looked at is identical, it is the look at the thing that takes precedence and is much more important," Leroux explains. For Leroux, photography is a liberating form of artistic expression, one that channels buried emotions and brings them to the surface. Leroux's career spans over fifteen years, starting as a personal passion before evolving into a professional pursuit. Her education at the Agnès Varda Photography School and later at the School of Arts in Ixelles deepened her interest in the emotional and artistic dimensions of photography. Her current work emphasizes creativity and imagination, steering away from objective representations to capture the fragility and poetic essence of her subjects.
