VAA Art Café: Setting yourself up for success in 2022

Join our free online Art Café with VAA arts marketing expert & mentor, Shirley-Ann O’Neill, where we will be discussing how self-representing artists can prepare for 2022 and to find and engage with art buyers in a more meaningful way. This session will include how to increase your visibility and how to make the most of opportunities. Whether you want to be discovered by art buyers, collectors, galleries or curators, they need to be able to find you and your artwork first.

Shirley-Ann has been working in the Fine Arts sector since 2012 and is a co-founder of the VAA. Presently, Director of the Visual Art Open Prize and Deepbridge Chester Arts Fair, Shirley-Ann has a wealth of experience in selling art and building arts businesses. She has an extensive network including art collectors, galleries, publishers and commercial partners. With over 20 years of experience in marketing, she holds an MA in Marketing and a full CIM chartership. Shirley-Ann has helped hundreds of artists of all levels to navigate the art world, to not only survive but thrive in their art businesses.

This session will share tips and advice covering:

• Self-representation, how to create a success road map for 2022

• The biggest mistakes artists make in trying to find & attract art buyers (how to avoid this)

• How to create partnerships and collaborations to generate income
