Early career artists are invited to learn more about how to write a powerful artist statement to attract income opportunities.
This micro-learning webinar will be hosted by Rosalind Davis, who is an artist, Curator, Royal College of Art (RCA) graduate, and author of ‘What They Didn’t Teach You in Art School.’
It is an industry-standard that artists’ must often provide context for their work in the form of an artist statement. This session will cover the basics of what are the essential elements of an artist statement, which will help you convey the meaning and significance of your work. The following points will be covered:
1. Understand the difference between an Artist Statement, Bio and CV
2. Help you describe your artworks and what your work means to reflect your personality and creative voice
3. Common mistakes and how to avoid them
This short course will help you be able to describe your artwork confidently.
