Phillips is currently seeking an ambitious and motivated individual to fill a full-time Associate Specialist position within our Photographs department.

Based in London, the primary focus of the position will be to lead the cataloguing of property for auctions, valuations and private sales and conduct research to determine authenticity, provenance, bibliography and exhibition history, liaising with outside experts where relevant, while cultivating networks among collectors, dealers, curators and others in order to develop and maintain best-in-class knowledge of the Photographs market and to support the department in sourcing and selling property.

In addition to this, the Associate Specialist will be responsible for supporting the department co-heads with business getting efforts by driving and handling the groundwork for department business getting trips, undertaking client research and assisting with client development tasks in collaboration with the global client development team, working with the department administrator to finalise a schedule for client visits and handling estimate requests.

Phillips is currently seeking a highly organised, pro-active, numerate and motivated individual to fulfill a full-time Business Manager, Finance position.

Based in the heart of London, with travel to our other Phillips locations as required, the primary focus of the position will be to act as a business partner to the 20th Century and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Editions departments with the remit to realise commercial and financial objectives, ensuring success in driving and maximising growth and profitability across the Europe region. To achieve this, the Business Manager, Finance will report to the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Europe and work closely with the International Commercial Deals Manager and the legal team to ensure profitability and compliance of deals and transactions, ensuring that Company sale processes and procedures are effective and efficient, reviewing and implementing as necessary, in alignment with best practice.

This Business Manager, Finance will also be responsible for providing leadership, guidance and assistance to the departments, primarily to the 20th Century and Contemporary Art department, on logistical, financial and organisational tasks. The department’s London based Business Coordinator will have a dotted reporting line to the Business Manager, Finance, and both roles will lead the monthly Administrator meetings company-wide in Europe, maintaining an environment of solid administrative communication and organisational excellence and effective cost management throughout the sale process.

The purposes of the Sales Manager role is to create and implement successful sales and client development strategy for Paddle8. The person in this role will coordinate closely with our sales specialists leading the effort to identify, engage and pitch opportunities to galleries, private collectors, brands & companies with the focus on building sustainable fruitful partnerships.

The Sales Manager will place a significant focus on Paddle8 auctions on the Curated and Benefits sides of business. The role will also work to establish effective sales strategy on the Paddle8 platform in partnership with our Technology Team. The position will deliver commercial initiatives moving them forward while maintaining and expanding on existing relationships.

Additionally, the Sales Manager will work in very close collaboration with the management team to establish a commercial strategy that generates increasing revenue. The ideal candidate will have established sales and client development experience, be comfortable with ambitious sales targets, and demonstrate the ability to create & implement effective sales strategy. It will be critical for this role to establish a network of contacts within the art and commercial world.
