Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service experience required. Must be highly organized and detail oriented. Must possess a 4-year degree. Strong interest in and knowledge of modern dance preferred. Experience with social media and Excel required. Experience with Photoshop and Wordpress desirable.

Job Summary

The Marketing and Audience Services Associatewill assist with box office and all other marketing activities and will work with the Director of Communications & Marketing to promote ADF, its performances, and programs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Hires, trains, and supervises an intern (merchandise) and a seasonal summer staff position (audience services assistant) each summer.  

• Consistently brainstorm new and improved marketing and communications initiatives & grass roots efforts

• Coordinate all merchandising efforts 

• Assist with social media and email marketing for all ADF programs

• Coordinate volunteers to distribute marketing materials

• Coordinate all ADF advertising & media sponsors for season playbill 

• Work with area box offices to set-up and oversee all ticketing matters 

Coordinate mailing for single ticket buyers and subscribers

Oversee group sales

• Maintain current patron and advertising databases

• Coordinate all marketing events 

• Other duties as deemed appropriate by the Director

Key Goals

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate marketing/PR campaigns designed to meet or exceed revenue, attendance, and engagement goals
  • Support OtB’s racial and social equity goals
  • Support clear and effective communications for all OtB performances, programs, and operations
     

Responsibilities

  • Communications & Public Relations
  • Draft press releases in collaboration with internal teams
  • Write and edit content for print/digital collateral in collaboration with internal teams
  • Build relationships with print and online media, arts writers, and influencers
  • Build relationships with community contacts and organizations to support audience engagement strategy
  • Use templates to produce program booklets, signage, and collateral for performances
  • Collaborate with Designer on brand positioning and standards

Digital Media

  • Manage and produce weekly e-newsletters using MailChimp and Patron Manager
  • Manage OtB’s social media presence; schedule, post, and respond to relevant online content
  • Manage content updates to ontheboards.org; coordinate with Designer on content and user experience strategy
  • Measure and report impact of content and campaigns in digital media channels
  • Advertising & Marketing
  • Develop and implement promotional campaigns designed to meet or exceed revenue, attendance, and engagement goals
  • Negotiate advertising contracts and secure media sponsorships
  • Coordinate direct mail projects with Designer
  • Measure and report impact of campaigns
     

Qualifications

  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Excels in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously with accurate and timely results
  • Expert at social media
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, open-office environment; excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign
  • Experience working in a communications role, preferably within an arts or cultural organization

 

Skills

  • Excellent writing skills that help shape and execute OtB’s brand voice
  • Help translate curatorial language for a wide range of potential audiences (including students, first-time ticket buyers, etc.)
  • Strong project management skills (including ability to use project management software like Asana)
  • Ability to work across teams to develop insightful narratives and promotional campaigns in support of key communications priorities.
  • Familiarity with layout tools in Adobe InDesign (for templated performance programs and flyers)

 

General Information:

Status:                               Part-Time Regular (30 hours weekly)

Compensation:               $26,250-28,500 for .75 FTE, ($16.82-$18.26 per hour)

Dancewave seeks an Intern to assist the Communications, Marketing & Design Coordinator in the promotion of our exciting calendar of classes, performances, events and initiatives including the Moving Together Series at Brooklyn Bridge Park, Summer Dance Camps and Intensives, Dancewave Through College & Beyond (DTCB), and more. Skills cultivated during this internship will assist aspiring individuals pursue a career in events, arts management and marketing/social media engagement.

HOURS: This is a part-time, 15-20 hours/week position for six months. Selected candidate will work primarily at Dancewave’s office in Gowanus, Brooklyn, NY, with occasional off-site visits.

ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND: Dancewave provides access to a community dance experience that encourages individuality and whole-person development throughout New York City and beyond. Through innovative programming we use dance as an expressive vehicle for transformation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create friendly and accessible social media coverage of Dancewave’s events
  • Translate promotional images and video content into exciting promotional graphics
  • Assist in event photo and video documentation for social media, advertising and promotion
  • Research new online marketing techniques and experiment with new ways to leverage social media platforms
  • Organize internal data and information, including digital files and social media insights
  • Ability to apply new ideas to a template while staying on-brand

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required:

We are looking for person to train up as an Artist Representative/ Art Agent for our Marbella office, joining a team of 35 across the UK, EU, USA and Asia.

Or you could be experienced in this field so we can fast track your training and salary expectations!

Fluency in either GERMAN or FRENCH is a must followed by strong language ability in ENGLISH. The office is based in Marbella so if you have some Spanish it will help however it is a very international city so not essentail

An Art Rep is the middle person between great artists and great clients; so, you make the link, grease the wheels and basically make sure everything works out. There is an existing group of clients that you will eventually look after and there is a degree of new business development.

Sounds like fun?- it is! 

The Artist Representative starting salary is €28k.

Expect a long and lucrative career at Advocate Art (we have a very high retention rate), the market in kids and decorative publishing is buoyant and above all the people in it are great. We offer full training in a casual work environment, expenses paid travel -World Wide, London, Italy etc. (expect a stint of up to a month in the USA) and a bonus scheme to prove that we reward success and hard work. 

Working hours for this position is Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. with an early leave on Friday.
