Our client, a growing independent award-winning digital advertising agency, is looking for a super-talented Digital Designer with skills in animation and illustration to join their East Central London office. They are looking for an enthusiastic creative-thinker who is really passionate about digital design, illustration, and animation. Someone that can deliver beautifully conceived ideas as well as being a good hands-on designer.

The successful candidate will be creating digital assets and adverts including social media images, GIFS, homepage banners and videos for a range of big-name clients, and will be confident in their own ability to deliver unique and striking designs across a range of outputs. Strong knowledge of social platforms is key.

 

Essential Requirements: 

  • You have 3+  years experience working at digital and integrated agencies.
  • You are an ideas person used to creating digital campaigns with rich content.
  • You’re up to date with the latest design trends and you have a deep understanding of all things digital.
  • You have an engaging portfolio of work that demonstrates award-worthy digital and social design, alongside impressive illustration and motion work, experimentations.
  • You possess a solid understanding of storytelling and how to reach people’s hearts and minds.
  • You have an exceptional eye for detail
 and ability to use your strong Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects to create exceptional pixel-perfect layouts
  • You can execute a variety of design, illustration and animation styles.
  • You are an adaptive designer, able to work on a variety of platforms, from static social posts to videos, using illustration and photography, 3D, image libraries and stock, or bespoke film.
  • You are an excellent communicator and articulate your ideas clearly.
  • You are highly organised and able to manage deadlines effectively.

Key Goals

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate marketing/PR campaigns designed to meet or exceed revenue, attendance, and engagement goals

Responsibilities

  • Communications & Public Relations
  • Draft press releases in collaboration with internal teams
  • Write and edit content for print/digital collateral in collaboration with internal teams
  • Build relationships with print and online media, arts writers, and influencers
  • Build relationships with community contacts and organizations to support audience engagement strategy
  • Use templates to produce program booklets, signage, and collateral for performances
  • Collaborate with Designer on brand positioning and standards

Digital Media

  • Manage and produce weekly e-newsletters using MailChimp and Patron Manager
  • Manage OtB’s social media presence; schedule, post, and respond to relevant online content
  • Manage content updates to ontheboards.org; coordinate with Designer on content and user experience strategy
  • Measure and report impact of content and campaigns in digital media channels
  • Advertising & Marketing
  • Develop and implement promotional campaigns designed to meet or exceed revenue, attendance, and engagement goals
  • Negotiate advertising contracts and secure media sponsorships
  • Coordinate direct mail projects with Designer
  • Measure and report impact of campaigns
     

Qualifications

  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Excels in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously with accurate and timely results
  • Expert at social media
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, open-office environment; excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign
  • Experience working in a communications role, preferably within an arts or cultural organization

 

Skills

  • Excellent writing skills that help shape and execute OtB’s brand voice
  • Help translate curatorial language for a wide range of potential audiences (including students, first-time ticket buyers, etc.)
  • Strong project management skills (including ability to use project management software like Asana)
  • Ability to work across teams to develop insightful narratives and promotional campaigns in support of key communications priorities.
  • Familiarity with layout tools in Adobe InDesign (for templated performance programs and flyers)

 

General Information:

Status:                               Part-Time Regular (30 hours weekly)

Compensation:               $26,250-28,500 for .75 FTE, ($16.82-$18.26 per hour)

Employee must contribute a percentage as payroll deduction. Generous paid time off including 12 holidays, vacation, and sick leave.

This Project Manager role is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a London Social Creative Agency who specialise in the youth culture space.  They have a very creative vibe and are working with a range of fashion and beauty clients, someone with a bit of background working in this sector would be ideal.

The Project Manager will manage and oversee key clients and projects across design, digital marketing and production.  Must excel at completing projects within their budget, managing the timeline, contracts and final delivery.

To establish project timelines you will work closely with team leaders, providing a weekly summary of project progress for external and internal parties, where necessary. You will create status reports for kicking off projects to be updated throughout, to be reviewed by management and clients; the PM will report directly into the Business Manager.

You will be managing exciting digital campaigns that will require attention to detail and excellent organization, from kick-off to delivery, while also helping to improve overall organisation and seamless processes for project delivery.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Ideally will have at least 5+ years previous agency or in-house experience (digital focus)
  • Can easily lead various projects and teams in parallel
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager that includes timelines, statement of work, contracts, production schedules, and resource allocation
  • Experience within projects on website, digital, social, content and strategy
  • Excellent experience with budgets and finance management; need to be able to manage quotes, budget projects, and negotiate with third parties and vendors
  • Ideally you will have experience overseeing budgets over £100k
  • Proactive, excellent attention to detail, excellent at problem-solving and quick thinking
  • Must have clear communications skills, good at building internal and external relationships

The MIT Museum Studio and Compton Gallery is a program connecting the rich resources of the MIT Museum (interpretive galleries, historical collections, etc.) with forefronts of MIT education and research. Undergraduate and graduate students from all fields of study pursue original technology projects for experimental exhibition at the Compton Gallery and to advance the multi-sensory learning environment of the MIT Museum. 

Job qualifications: 

-knowledge of engineering design, mechanical design

-experience with shop tools ranging from hand and basic machine shop tools to rapid prototyping tools (laser-cutter, waterjet, additive manufacturing, etc.)

-experience working with small mechanical and electro-mechanical systems (arduino, sensors, motor controllers, dynamic LED lighting, simple electronic prototyping, etc.)

-physical computing programming experience

-facility with Adobe Creative Suite

-comfortable using both Mac and Windows systems

-experience with 3D modeling software (e.g. Vectorworks, Solidworks, Autocad, Rhino 3D, etc.)

-comfortable learning new tools as needed

-familiarity with MIT rapid prototyping and shop facilities a plus
