Reporting to the Vice President and Executive Producer, the MCG Jazz Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program. This role will facilitate processes that nurture efficiency and creativity, so the department functions effectively as an artistic entity as well as managing program volunteers and event occasional staff. Additional responsibilities include scheduling artists, invoicing, facilities coordination, vendor relationships, budget accounting, monitoring CD and other product sales, and day of show concert logistics. Additionally, this role supports contracting and compliance for all MCG Jazz programming and partnership events.

Job Summary

Executive Leadership plays the pivotal role in ensuring fruitful collaboration among members, staff, and Executive Committee – the Alternate ROOTS community. Executive Leadership supports and guides operational teams, keeps a consistent overview of ROOTS’ programs and initiatives, leads fundraising, and participates in presenting the public face of the organization. Executive Leadership works in partnership with the ExComm to hold the collective responsibility for assuring ROOTS’ programs and services align with ROOTS’ mission and values.
