Introduction to Embroidery

Stumpwork is a form of 3D or raised embroidery that allows plenty of creative freedom when stitching. In this class you will be taught 8 different 3D stitches and will learn how each of these can be translated into your own Stumpwork designs.

You will also be talked through how to create completely 3D shapes using wire.This class is aimed at those with a previous knowledge of embroidery who are wanting to develop their skills.

The techniques you will learn in this class are:

- Button Hole Stitch

- Woven Wheel Stitch

- French Knot

- Woven Picot

- Bullion Knot

- Turkey Work

- Padding 

- Drizzle Stitch
