- About -

Graduated in 2015 from Sewanee: The University of the South, with a BFA studying Studio Art with a focus on film, sculpture, and new media. I am the high school Art teacher at a Houston charter school as well as the Electives department chair, Varsity Cheer Coach, and Varsity Tennis Assistant Coach. Not only do I create my own curriculum and expectations for our three offered levels of art, but I mentor and build appreciation for the arts and academia to over 300 students each day.
Additionally, I facilitate professional development, framework for building our Electives department, and planning of several large annual Electives and Fine Arts events for students and teachers. My work experience ranges from Teen Council member at The Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (2009-10), English and Dance Teacher at Guizhou Forerunner College in Guizhou, China (2013-14), Graphic Design and Sikenomics intern under Phil "SikeStyle" Shafer in Kansas City, Missouri, and Dance Instruction at the Sewanee Dance Conservatory (2012), as well as maintaining my own practice as a mixed media artist. Currently, I work on both commissioned pieces and individual projects, ranging from architectural renderings, to branding, to mixed media compositions. I am pursuing a Masters in Fine Arts, with the intention of continuing a career in the creative and arts industries, and have recently (2017) earned my Texas teaching certification in Art for K-12.
