Las Laguna Art Gallery is pleased to present Aylal H.A.

Selected from several hundred submissions, Aylal H.A.'s work is part of Las Laguna Art Galleries current exhibition. Each year since 2013 Las Laguna Art Gallery has honored women artists during Women's Month with a monthlong exhibition.

"It is difficult to judge oneself, however, if there is a question then there must be an answer as well. My paintings are highly appreciated by viewers, who are usually overwhelmed by my bright colours, balance, and deep drawing which seem to appear from nowhere, whereas it is almost always an exact depiction of reality. It is difficult to copy something that is not related to rules and that has been created as a unique and unrepeatable soul.

Born and raised in Azerbaijan and strongly influenced by my cultural roots, I have a global vision of the world guided by the cosmos of my sensitivity towards nature, culture and human values. I have practiced and experimented with many different painting styles and techniques, as well as installations where I mix painting and design. wrote in a letter to his son: I believe you are right, pointillism is finished, but I think it will have consequences which later on will be of the utmost importance for art.’ My present work resonates these timeless words."

NYC ARTWALK @nycartwalk & At The Art Fair @attheartfair will bring art to QUEENS: LIC & Astoria, and to Greenpoint, BROOKLYN: in the Spring of 2021, with an art walk destined to support local businesses.

No original works will be displayed, only weather resistant posters will be displayed on storefronts and restaurant fences of participating businesses.

There is no fee for businesses to participate, instead, NYC ARTWALK & At The Art Fair will feature the businesses paired with their artists!

Loretta Kaufman Receives Medal of Honor in the National Association of Women Artists’ 131st Annual Members’ Exhibition

Loretta Kaufman’s stoneware sculpture Double Monologues I:  The Celia Series won the NAWA Medal of Honor and the Florence & Irwin Zlowe Memorial Award in the Annual Members’ Exhibition October 1 – December 30, 2020.  There are 254 notable paintings, works on paper, sculpture, mixed media, fiber, digital, collage and photography produced by NAWA members nationwide in the online exhibition.  Over $10,000 was awarded to 37 artists at the Virtual Reception and Awards Ceremony on October 8th.  Artist Panels are scheduled in October for each of the award categories with speakers discussing their award-winning work as well as inspiration and aspiration in the Zoom meeting.  The exhibition can be viewed by visiting https://www.thenawa.org.

Founded in 1889, NAWA is the first established professional women’s art organization in the United States.  NAWA’s existence is a testament to the integral and essential role of dynamic, talented and visionary women artists in the art world.  Documented exhibitions are archived within the Smithsonian Institution Archives, The Whitney Museum of Art, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Library of Congress, among others.


In nearly five decades, Nashville sculptor and painter, Loretta Ana Kaufman, has produced work in wood, fiber, metal, clay and paint.  In 2017 she was presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Who’s Who Lifetime Achievement Award for her sustained involvement in the visual arts.   In 2018 Loretta’s oil painting was published in the book of poetry “Gate Posts with No Gate – The Leg Paint Project” which carries an endorsement from author and curator Sean Hemingway.  Her paintings and sculptures have been exhibited worldwide including at INDEX Dubai 2018, Dubai World Trade Center, UAE.  In 2018, she received the Cutting Edge Award (all media) for her acrylic painting in NAWA’s 129th Annual Members’ Exhibition in New York.  In 2019, her 3D sculpture received an Honorable Mention in NAWA’s Sculpture On & Off The Wall, also in Manhattan.  The Tennessee Arts Commission in Nashville curated a retrospective of Loretta’s paintings, works on paper, sculpture and collage in 2020.  Loretta’s sculptures and paintings have been exhibited and received awards in Fusion Arts’ international exhibitions since 2015.

3rd Annual Women Artists Art Exhibition

Fusion Art is pleased to announce the opening of the 3rd Annual Women Artists International Art Exhibition. The exhibition is now available for viewing on the Fusion Art website and features awards in three categories: Traditional Art, Digital Art & Photography and 3-Dimensional Art.

For its 15th quarterly online art competition, Fusion Art, once again, celebrated women artists. The gallery invited both 2D and 3D women artists, only, to share their best art and photography depicting any subject matter and using any media. All women artists, over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit.

The Women Artists Best in Show winners are Cher Pruys for her acrylic, “The Artist”, Roxy McHaffey for her digital photo manipulation, "Into the Light Cave” and Diana Fernández for her bronze sculpture, "Bloom". As the Best in Show winners, Cher, Roxy and Diana are invited to participate in Fusion Art's 5th Annual Group Show in Palm Springs in 2021. 

Other award winners include Second Place winners, Kait Schoeb, Esther Burt and Ani Mollereau. Third Place awards were given to Natalia Ayas Bezuglova, Mariana Blinova and Jill Miyabara. Fourth Place awards were given to Yildiz Grodowski, Shelley Benjamin and Latana. Fifth Place awards were given to Lillianne Ruiz, Barbara Mierau-Klein and Cathy Engel-Marder.

Rounding out the awards for the exhibition are twenty-one Honorable Mention winners. Honorable Mention awards in the Traditional Art category were given to Mitra N. Devon, Amy Jiang, Pauline Clay, Kathy Paulus, Lena Kibbler, Shraddha Singh, Sally Davis, Marcia Geiger and Virginia Gott.

Honorable Mention awards in the Photography & Digital category were given to Sylvia Bandyke, R. A. Smoller, Sarah Oremus, Sheri Emerson, Catherine LeComte and Maureen Osborne.

Honorable Mention in the 3-Dimensional category were given to K R Nariman, Carla Woody, Michele Bourdeau, Lollie Ortiz, Carole Hatcher and Marina Smelik.

The remaining finalists in the exhibition all exemplified uniquely creative talents and we are honored to showcase their artwork on the Fusion Art website.

The international competition received a diverse collection of quality artwork from artists all around the world, including the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Czech Republic, India, China, Costa Rica, Croatia, Guatemala, Lithuania, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Ukraine and Ireland. Overall, the gallery judged 930 entries and accepted 266 artworks into the exhibition, which will be featured on the website for 3 months starting on September 15, 2020.

Founded by Award winning artist, Chris and Valerie Hoffman, Fusion Art was envisioned and formed out of a passion for art and the artists who create it. The website promotes and connects new, emerging and established artists with collectors and art enthusiasts, while offering the opportunity to participate in art competitions, exhibitions and experiences.

Each month and quarter Fusion Art hosts uniquely themed solo and group art competitions and exhibitions. Both winners and finalists are provided with worldwide exposure, by having their work promoted through Fusion Art’s website, in hundreds of press release announcements, email marketing, online event calendars, art news websites and through the gallery’s social media outlets.
