A 501c3 nonprofit, NOoSPHERE Arts first opened its doors to the public on February 4, 2011 in a storefront gallery on the Lower East Side in Manhattan under the original name of .NO. As of 2016, we are primarily operating out of our Brooklyn platforms, Last Frontier NYC and Mothership NYC. Run on a shoestring budget by a rotating, all-volunteer artists’ crew, the organization presents and promotes art from elsewhere: Our goal is to offer the U.S. audience access to current art from other countries and to bring creative people together for artistic cross-pollination and transnational collaborations.
