Omanut: Jewish Uptown Arts is dedicated to empowering local artists from all walks of life to explore Jewish culture and heritage through unique creative events, challenges, and venues here in Northern Manhattan. Through thinking creatively about Jewish tradition, Omanut cultivates unique perspectives that will impact mainstream arts communities. By implementing the annual Sukkahwood competition, our new Uptown Jewish Film Event, and providing other events and spaces for discussion and expression, these traditions and rituals will be seen through a new lense and shared with members of our diverse community.
