Statement :

My work explores the human form through a contemporary lens, focusing on intimacy, vulnerability and self-expression. Using bold colours and abstracted compositions I aim to challenge traditional notions of beauty and body. Influenced by modern photography, digital aesthetics and figurative abstraction my paintings blur the line between realism and expressionism capturing the emotional depth and presence of the nude body in a raw and modern way.

Bio:

Katerina is a self taught contemporary artist specialising in modern interpretations of the human form. Blending abstraction with realism their work explores themes of intimacy, self and vulnerability using bold colour palettes. Katerina reimagines the nude figure through a lens of personal storytelling and soul search. Her work celebrates the diverse forms of the nude body in its most intimate form either alone or blended with another. She believes each painting has a piece of her soul that she left somewhere in the world and she paints to always carry those parts of her. When not in the studio creating she actively engages in inspiration research continually pushing the boundaries of contemporary nude art.
