Olga Zafeiropoulou

Country where you live:

City where you live:

Statement :

I create to find serenity and pass it on people.
Facing my deepest fears and turn them into happiness.
Helping others, through my art, to do the same.
Identify demons. Accept their existence.
Find power. Create merriment.
Clay is just an ongoing assistant, which I deeply appreciate.

"Too afraid to live"
Ceramic Sculpture, 30 x 38 x 5 cm, clay and glazes, part of the collection "Current Beings".
"Freedom Fighter"
Ceramic Sculpture, 40 x 29 x 5 cm, clay and glazes, part of the collection "Current Beings".
"Covered feelings"
Ceramic Sculpture, 32 x 35 x 5 cm, clay and glazes, part of the collection "Current Beings".
"Current Beings"
Collection of ceramic sculptures. We are all made of colours. Every human being owns a unique combination of colours. Feelings projected in colours. Life during the pandemic made us share some common feelings. Hiding our emotions. Hiding our fears. Hiding our smiles behind a mask. We are all freedom fighters! A worldwide force. The most synchronised period since the creation of earth. United, we can be winners!
"Me, my stool & I"
Ceramic stool, 37 x 30 x 27 cm, red clay and white pigment. This stool is me. Made out of the shape of my face. Reflecting my past and personality. Cracks need to be cured. Balance to be achieved. Strength to be present. It survived, I will survive!

Olga Zafeiropoulou is an artist, a self-taught ceramist and a prospective sculptor. Currently based in Athens, Greece.

Recently graduaded as a graphic designer (BA Hons) from University of Derby and attended a foundation portfolio programme at Glasgow School of Art.

Structural figures and vivid colours are the main features of her work. Using clay as a medium to create euphoria and stay grounded.

The vital factor of her artwork is to unfold all hidden emotions.

Fears, insecurities, absence of unconditional love and broken smiles.

These are the flames of her inspiration, deriving from her childhood traumas.
