Kylie Norton

Ōtepoti based artist, Kylie Norton, has been practising and refining her embroidery skills since her childhood. Originally an Art History major with a focus on fetishization in fashion photography, she has been using her art to explore her passions for feminism, femininity and the bonds between women for several years now.

Norton’s art has evolved with time to incorporate drawing with pencil and embroidery on paper, mimicking slick advertisements, they examine the reverence for objects which in part help to make up her experience of what it is to be feminine in today’s physical and digital online world.
