Statement :
My artistic practice is rooted in a deep emotional response to beauty, atmosphere, and the unspoken stories held within spaces and moments. Whether through painting, performance, or design, I seek to create images that evoke introspection—inviting the viewer to pause and feel rather than analyze.
Painting allows me to channel my instinct for composition, texture, and light. Influenced by my background in theatre and visual storytelling, I often approach a canvas as I would a scene: guided by mood, memory, and the invisible thread between the internal and external worlds.
I am drawn to landscapes—both literal and emotional—as a way to explore themes of solitude, transformation, and presence. I work intuitively, letting the materials guide me. Water and light often play central roles in my work, reflecting a fascination with impermanence and clarity.
Ultimately, I create to connect: to a sense of place, to emotion, and to others who might see something of themselves in the stillness or movement of a painted moment.

Between Worlds
Between Worlds evokes a sense of transition and longing through the image of a traditional Japanese torii gate rising from a body of water, surrounded by floating lanterns. A lone figure in a boat rows silently beneath the gate, symbolizing a passage between realms—physical and spiritual, past and present. The mountainous background and muted color palette enhance the sense of isolation, reverence, and introspection.
This piece was inspired by the artist’s long-standing fascination with Japanese culture, which began in childhood. Although a planned trip to Japan in 2020 was interrupted by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the emotional connection remained. The painting reflects a personal nostalgia for a place never visited, yet deeply familiar—an imagined memory rooted in longing and cultural resonance. Through this work, the artist explores the notion of spiritual belonging and the quiet beauty of imagined landscapes.

Echoes of Autumn
Echoes of Autumn was created during a season of longing. While living in China, the artist found herself missing the vivid transformation of autumn—its crisp air, rustling leaves, and the deep reds of changing trees. In a place where autumn hardly touched the landscape, painting became a way to bring that sensation back to life.
This work is a personal reconstruction of a season she deeply missed—an imagined forest glowing with warm reds and earthy tones. It captures not just a visual memory, but the emotional weight of nostalgia. Through expressive color and intuitive composition, the painting becomes a quiet meditation on how we carry seasons within us, even when they’re no longer outside our window.
