Statement :

Producing self-directed projects makes me really happy. It is thrilling to bring together a few people, minimal wardrobe and some simple props and see what happens. Being a swimmer ignited my interest in exploring bathers as my next subject. The 50's style bathing suits I found are both modest and beautiful, and I hoped that it would give the images a timeless look. My latest series, entitled The Color of Water, mixes bold colors, water and the female form to end up with a pared down graphic image.

Working as a commercial lifestyle photographer laid down the foundation for my personal work. I have been creating limited edition photo series for the past few years, and my fine art subjects keep flipping back and forth between architecture and figurative work. Working and living in Northern California has allowed my work to be produced all year round, with plenty of friends available to help me pull my ideas together.
