Personal AI model creation for artists. Open call now accepting applications

Eligibility: is excited to announce an open call for artists of all mediums to join our online platform. Our platform allows you to train your own personal AI model to generate images in your unique artistic style. These models can serve as a source of inspiration for your creative work and, on our platform, you can even sell access to your model and earn money each time it's used.

Our team of engineers is dedicated to helping artists harness the power of AI. You don't need to know how to code to create your model. Selected artists will work with our engineers to develop the model they envision and bring it to life.

Participation in our open call is free for artists. We're building a community of pioneering artists to create personal models and inspire others to join us.

Not sure if AI is a tool for you? Here are some examples of how members of our artistic community use their models:

  • An illustrator used a model to generate sketches in her style for inspiration.
  • A cartoon illustrator trained a model to help her commission satirical cartoons for a daily newspaper.
  • A jewelry designer used a model to iterate and find new concepts when experiencing creative block.
  • A tattoo artist trained a model to create tattoo images in her style, allowing her clients to generate unique designs.
  • A fine artist used a model to develop a series of paintings on a specific theme.

If you're interested in learning more about how AI can help traditional artists and crafts people, join our artistic community at and we'll be in touch!

Open Call for Artists Round 51 April - June 2022

PILOTENKUECHE, Leipzig / Germany

ROUND51 April – June 2022

"PILOTENKUECHE" is an international art program based in Germany's new art capital Leipzig. The independent project is run by artists to support and empower artists.

The project invites within the “International Residency Program” selected artists from around the world to come and work in the 465m², fully remodeled space for three months, with 24h studio access. Each accepted artist is offered a partial stipend in kind that represents our unpaid working hours. We maintain engagements with several partners and introducing our artists to these, make it possible for participants to cooperate. Our concept encourages experimental strategies aiming to get inspired to new strategies and collaboration. In a group of around twelve international artists together with two local artists participating in our program activities, a stimulating dialogue becomes vital in fostering an independent position in one's work, which leads to a long-term network that exists even after the program is over.

The Program activities are:

  • studio visits and open studio if the group is interested
  • contact to the local art scene,
  • organized museum tours,
  • scheduled art critiques,
  • published artists spotlight on each artist
  • professional install and exhibition pictures
  • two group exhibitions in interesting venues.

 The Studio space consists of:

  • one furnished up to 36m² large space per artist in our 465m² large communal loft hall including wifi and all side costs (water, underfloor heating, energy, kitchen, toilet, etc.)
  • desk, little storage space
  • depends on the work of the artists, but two walls to work on
  • large windows
  • approximately twelve artists per month working in the space
  • furnished shared tea kitchen with fridge, microwave, hotplate

Familiar Strangers

If you came across the person you think yourself to be in a dream, would you recognize yourself? Or would you be just be another familiar stranger?

On that note, who do you really think you are?

How much can we really understand about ourselves when everywhere we go we are followed by a blank blanket of mystery? How much can we really know about each other in an age where everyone can be anyone?

Why are we so eager to believe in the authenticity of a self-portrait? How often do we really speak the truth about ourselves, and how can we ever represent what we don’t really know? Why do we hardly assume that like anyone else, artists can be blind to themselves too?

The Vacant Museum’s upcoming online exhibition, Familiar Strangers will deconstruct everything we think we know about representing ourselves. We will ask both artists and viewers to question the concept of the self-portrait and to challenge their own understandings of themselves. We will see all reflections and representations of our identities for what they really are: familiar strangers.

By the time we are done collecting submissions, we will assemble a collection of faces from around the world and ask ourselves, “are any of these people really who they say they are?”

In order to be featured in the exhibition, all artists must answer the question, “who do you think you are?” upon submission of their self-portrait. This is both an opportunity to search for truth within yourself, or take advantage of an opportunity to construct an identity completely remote. No one will know the difference. No one will ever know the real you, not even yourself.

The Vacant Museum is calling for self-portraits from artists around the world. We invite artists of all media, with the exception of video, to submit and share their self-portraits and contribute to this international showcase!
