2026 Artist-in-Residence Open Call (Students, Alumni, Faculty) in NYC

OPEN CALL FOR ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE 2026 | AIR PROGRAM

Applications due for 2026 by October 31, 2025.

KUNSTRAUM is calling for submissions for our 2026 Artist-in-Residence Program.

Through our program, we aim to explore the relationships between artists and curators by opening our gallery spaces to those interested in exploring unconventional, engaging ideas and taking risks. Our Artist-in-Residency program offers three-month residencies for national and international artists on a quarterly cycle. For 2026, we currently have open applications for January-March, April-June, July-September, and October-December.

A Common Longing - Open Call for Performers and Artists

We are a London-based collective recruiting interdisciplinary artists and performers for an upcoming experimental live event and exhibition titled A Common Longing.

Inspired by poet Rainer Maria Rilke, A Common Longing refers to the strange physical, emotional and intellectual drive that pushes artists to make work. What is this longing that pushes people to create? Where does it come from, and where does it take us? This evening aims to touch upon artists’ creative inspiration and their relationship to their own artistic process. It will also serve as a space for people to play around with ideas in a low-pressure environment, following their own sense of intuition and, of course, their longing.
