EXHIBITION DESCRIPTION

KlimaatExpo '22

ClimateExpo ’22

ClimateExpo ’22 is a sales exhibition about climate change via open registration, which can be seen from 17 September to 4 December 2022 at various locations of Museum de Fundatie. Artists like you can determine what ClimateExpo ’22 will look like in the future. Are you in?

Climate. There is no more urgent subject. Global warming, caused by, among other things, the use of fossil fuels, large-scale logging and livestock farming, has major consequences. Plants and animal species are dying out, ice caps are melting and sea levels are rising. Heavy rains, flooding, tropical temperatures and climate refugees are the news of the day. Climate change affects people, nature and the environment. How do we deal with it?

Open Call: Fiction Beyond Nonfiction

The Li Tang Gallery is currently accepting submissions for an online group show – Fiction Beyond Nonfiction. We are keen to present a platform for artists working across disciplines to share their evolving visions of how digital and technology impact their practice. Subjects might include – but are not limited to – the ecosystem, social justice, decolonization, climate change, immigration, lifestyle, under-represented communities, and sustainability.

Artists at any stage of their career are invited to submit their work for consideration by our guest jury judge panel. The online group exhibition will be curated by the Li Tang team and promoted on Li Tang Gallery’s website, social media, and press coverage in both the United States and China.

The State of Interim

The STATE OF INTERIM defines a halting moment, an in-between, in a continuous march of time. A temporal intervention that aims to instill a space for investigating present artifacts that readily hold the potential configurations of futures. Through a close engagement of our present, we wish to topple the superficially dystopian narratives that lay claim to articulate future modes of technology & human existence.

By initiating the STATE OF INTERIM we aim to assemble a set of young perspectives that provide a point of departure for the formation of new prospective horizons.

In this very moment in our society everything moves really fast, time doesn’t seem sufficient anymore, artists seem to find their path much harder, the ongoing changes create a need for a continuous state of Transcendence and this reflects in contemporary art.

The aim of this exhibition is to find out what is the trend in contemporary art and to create a dialogue between the artists and the viewers.
