BRASHNAR CREATIVE PROJECT: International Artist-in-Residence Summer 2020

Brashnar Artist-in-Residence (BAiR) is an artist run and operated urban artist residency program located in the neighborhood Hrom on the west side of Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia. BAiR is a multi-faceted residency program allowing resident artists the freedom to explore the potentials of their practice while experiencing Macedonian culture through group related activities.

Summer 2020 College Station Artist in Residence

The Arts Council is excited to present its eighth summer Artist in Residence opportunity, open to students or recently-graduated artists. The Artist in Residence will have an opportunity to live in College Station, create artwork in a studio, receive mentoring from area artists, and have their own gallery show at the conclusion of their residency. Twin City Properities will provide an unfurnished 2-bedroom apartment free of charge, and The Arts Council will provide a $500 stipend and access to a studio space free of charge.

Tough Art Residency

The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh announces a request for proposals for its annual Tough Art Residency Program. The residency invites artists to work in the museum to develop and create artworks that will be exhibited fall/winter 2020.

This residency offers a $5,000 honorarium, $3,500 materials budget, access to fabrication facilities, marketing and documentation services, and an opening reception. Out-of-town artists are provided with housing and transit to/from Pittsburgh. The residency runs June through mid-September 2020; artists are expected to be in Pittsburgh for the duration of the residency.
