Eligibility:

FotoLimo (landlimo means "border" in Esperanto) is a cross-border festival of photography and visual arts whose main driving force is the concept of borders, understood in its broadest sense. With a background of four consecutive editions, the objective of the festival continues to be to promote artistic creation, education, and research around the multiple manifestations of the border, approached from fields as diverse as migration, gender, body, social fractures or landscape, always from a creative and transformative perspective. In this context, FotoLimo presents itself with the particularity of being the only European-wide cross-border photography and visual arts festival to be held simultaneously in a double location around the French-Catalan border.

In order to create a diverse and high-quality program, FotoLimo launches this open call with the objective of selecting 6 photography and visual arts projects that will be exhibited within the official section of the festival. The theme of the projects must be linked to the concept of THE BORDER in the broadest sense of the word. The selected projects will be exhibited during the FotoLimo 2020 edition, which will take place from September 18, 2020 to September 27, 2020 between the towns of Cerbère (France) and Portbou (Catalonia).

15 projects from this call will be selected to be screened during the first opening weekend. The projects selected for this call will be added to the programming of the FotoLimo Festival 2020, which will also feature exhibitions of two invited artists, the LandLimo program, as well as other exhibitions and activities.
