Currier Museum Artist-in-Residence

The Currier Museum of Art invites applications for its Artist-in-Residence Program. Now in its third year, the program will award up to two residencies between fall 2023 and spring 2024. The awards will provide support for self-identified emerging artists (or groups of up to three artists) focused on social practice. Residencies may be for a period of 6 to 12 weeks between mid-October 2023 and mid-March 2024. The residency program is central to the Currier Museum’s mission of connecting audiences with art and creative thinking. This open call privileges social practice artists who share the goal of impacting people through the transformative power of art. It is free to apply and applications close on December 1, 2022.

Are you a multimedia. designer or videoartist working with arts visuals/graphics? Wanna meet/enjoy with performers, sound artists, visual artists, writers etc? Wanna participate in an incredible event of sound, visuals and performances on the 26th July in London at Matchstick Piehouse? Me and curator Valeria Biondo from Goldsmiths University of London would like to include you in our event as part of a Bodily State of Noise. Alternative Night of Experimental Film

After three successful screening events attended by wonderful creators, the Alternative Night of Experimental Film is back - once again inviting submissions of short experimental films and moving image works that will compose the programme for an informal screening in an alternative music venue in Kingston upon Thames, London.

We are particularly interested in works by emerging filmmakers and artists based in London; the aim of the event is to create a platform for conversation and networking for those who are exploring the alternative creative paths through experimental cinema.
