January PleinAir Salon Online Art Competition

The 14th Annual PleinAir Salon is an online art competition with 12 monthly cycles, and is open to a variety of mediums and styles. It’s not just for plein air painters! We invite a variety of top master artists, museum directors and gallery owners to judge each month. All monthly winners are automatically included in the Annual Competition where the Grand Prize winner receives $15,000 and has their painting featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine, the #1 representational art magazine at Barnes & Noble. 

In addition to a total of $50,000 in ALL Cash Prizes, winners receive exposure and recognition through our various magazines, websites, newsletters and social media platforms.

Exhibition of Realism

For centuries the skill of recording scenery, subjects, and historical events through hand-crafted artworks were relied upon by society to understand the imagery associated with the civilized and uncivilized world around them. That skill evolved over time as devoted artists strived to depict their images as closely as possible to the real thing, setting new standards for artists that would last forever. Art Scene West wants to celebrate this genre of Realism and the contemporary masters who carry on that tradition.

2024 MetaU Art International Competition

To cultivate a pipeline of talented artists, MetaU Art launched its International Art Competition in September 2023. This competition aims to discover young and talented artists based around the world, providing them with opportunities for international exposure.

​Discover, Recognize and Support to the young artists are the mission of MetaU Art Competition.

​Winners of the competition will have the opportunity to showcase theirs artworks in Los Angeles or other major art fairs in United States , participate the online exhibition on Artsy, and gain increased exposure on social media.

 

Entry and Eligibility

  • The MetaU Art International Competition is open to artists of all nationalities, from all regions,  aged 35 and below.
