PRISMA ART PRIZE - ROME - 13TH EDITION

XIII PRISMA ART PRIZE - ROME

Il Varco Creative Hub presents the thirteenth edition of the Prisma Art Prize, which inaugurates the fourth year of the prize.
Prisma Art Prize is a quarterly art competition with €2000 of annual prize money, over €3000 of service prizes and the possibility of participating in the collective exhibition in 2024 at the Contemporary Cluster of Palazzo Brancaccio, Rome, one of the art institutions most innovative in the international contemporary scene.

As our name and logo suggest, we want to be a prism that refracts all the possible outcomes of the painting process: we aim to collect and exhibit a selection of works of art that is inclusive, diverse and representative of the possibilities that the medium of painting offers to artists.

ART 64: Live Painting Tournament for $20,000 Grand Prize

Discover Wauwatosa seeks 64 artists to participate in the second annual ART 64 event on June 9 & 10, 2023. ART 64 is proudly brought to you by Discover Wauwatosa.

In four rounds, artists are paired to go head-to-head and given 60 minutes to create a work of art on a predetermined theme on canvas. Members of the public, both in-person and virtually, are invited to watch the paintings come to life and vote for their favorite artists to advance online.

Red - Call for Art

Call for Artists

RED is a powerful color that has been used throughout history and is associated with love, passion, and courage. In Asian countries, it symbolizes happiness and good fortune. The quest for this color was an obsession that involved many empires and spawned many novel-worthy intrigues in the pursuit of this most desirable color on earth.RED is a “fast” color, it has a dominant wavelength that reaches our eye before other colors. It stands out from all backgrounds.RED sunsets, strawberries, scarlet slippers; royal capes, rubies, and cardinals- all are infused with this special color and used by all artists.

A slash of Blue-

Gerald Moore Gallery is pleased to invite submissions to this year’s open call A Slash of Blue- the title is taken from the first line of a poem by Emily Dickinson:

A sweep of Gray –

Some scarlet patches on the way,

Compose an Evening Sky –

A little purple – slipped between –

Some Ruby Trousers hurried on …
