Currently, we are living in a post-industrial society, which is, by definition, "a society marked by a transition from a manufacturing-based economy to a service-based economy". So what happened to the urban/suburban factories populating the industrial landscape?
The main focus, here, is centred on pictures showing the decadence of industrial buildings as well as renewed factories, currently fulfilling a different function (museum, art gallery, shop...).

Call for Indigenous filmmakers: get customized training to develop a short documentary through NSI IndigiDocs

The National Screen Institute – Canada (NSI) is now accepting applications for the 2020 edition of NSI IndigiDocs – a two-phase course offering customized training for Indigenous filmmakers to develop a short documentary.

New for this edition of NSI IndigiDocs: applicants no longer apply as a team. NSI IndigiDocs is now designed for individual filmmakers who have an idea for a 10-minute documentary film.

In phase 1 up to eight students will attend a 12-day boot camp in Winnipeg to learn about writing, producing and directing, and develop a script for their documentary idea. At the end of phase 1 all students will have a market-ready film proposal.

Call for Entry - this human world International Human Rights Film Festival

The 13th edition of this human world is taking place in Vienna, from December 3rd to December 13th, 2020.

this human world is Austria‘s first festival devoted to the subject of Human Rights and one of Vienna’s largest film festival.

The films shown at this human world are presented in an International competition programme consisting of four different sections and a number of thematic programmes, curated by the festival team, curators, experts, NGOs and partner festivals.
