Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2020

The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize has an established reputation as the UK’s most important annual exhibition of drawing. The Prize gives artists the opportunity to show their work in a touring exhibition across the UK and win £17,000 in prizes.

2018 first prize winner Caroline Burraway said "This prestigious prize allows artists' work to reach a wide audience as it travels around the UK.”

2019 prize winner Penny McCarthy also described the Prize as “a career highlight”, adding that “Taking part in the shows is a fantastic professional opportunity – for anyone at any stage. The prize money and increased exposure are something that all artists need to make work.”

2020 STARVD ART International Art Prize

The 2020 STARVD Art Prize program is open to all Emerging Artists* globally  (ages 18 and over) and we encourage all Artists working in 2D media - specifically Painting, Drawing, Collage, Digital, Print, and Photography (or a combination) to apply.  STARVD Art is here for you - the Artist “STARVD” for recognition! The Artist that has immense talent but needs a bespoke, dedicated platform to showcase their work. A platform that isn't mass market but focused on fine art as intelligent and moving as it is beautiful.  

The Art Prize is an opportunity to bring your art to the world. For those Artists based in ASEAN or Oceania, there may be further opportunities for us to collaborate and support each other! But first, submit your work for the opportunity to win some great career-enhancing prizes in the  STARVD ART 2020 International Art Prize!

Each year the Studio will select thirty (30) shortlisted Artist works to be showcased on the Studios web site, social media and international partner sites such as artsy.net additionally there will be a People's Choice Award and a Major Award winner from those shortlisted entries.

The People's Choice Award

- The People's Choice Award: will be chosen from 30 short listed entrants based on the highest number of combined follows and likes from STARVD social media platforms for their entry. 

- The winner will receive $500 SGD cash and 

- a STARVD ART Studio article about the artists work to be featured on Artsy, the premier platform for international art with over 2 million unique visitors each month.

Major Art Prize

The Major Award Winner: will receive $2000 SGD cash as well as:

- An Exclusive online Exhibition featuring the Artists work on Artsy (exhibited online for up to three months)*

- Non-exclusive representation by STARVD ART Studio (exclusive representation will be offered to ASEAN/Oceania artists who are selected)*

- A feature page on the STARVD ART website and archive in the finalist online gallery

- Social media promotion and support on STARVD ART social media platforms for 6 months*

- Promotion of your work to STARVD ART collectors

- A STARVD ART Studio article written by our art curators about the winning entrants work to be featured on Artsy, the premier platform for international art with over 2 million unique visitors each month.

- A downloadable WebApp (for IOS) of the winners art work as featured on the STARVD ART Studio web site (up to a maximum of 50 images)

• August 7th to August  16th, 2020 in Brioude (Haute-Loire, France) > Exhibition of about 50 artists french and international artists in nearly 700 m² of exhibition halls (presence of artists on site not required)

• Contest rewarding the 3 favorite artists chosen by the public: more than 1000 € of prizes to win

• Opening with buffet / concert / animations / workshops / artistic demonstrations / night-time/ liv-painting contest

OPEN CALL: MIRROR/IMAGE VIRTUAL EXHIBITION

Now accepting submissions for MIRROR/IMAGE, a virtual exhibition and community collaboration. The work (photography, prints, painting, drawing, etc.) should investigate reflection, meditation, duality, or likeness. Topics that explore family history, personal identity, current events, societal conventions, and spirituality are encouraged.

Selected artists will receive the opportunity to have their work featured and sold on Artfare, a highly curated app and website with a collection of 390 professional artists and an active audience of 25k.
