Calling All Artists | Group Exhibition “Oops! Unfortunately…” at A Space Gallery

This is a show for works that didn’t make it—because they were “too anime,” “not refined enough,” or just “not what we’re looking for.”

Some were rejected without any reason.

Some were picked apart by professors or curators.

Some never left the hard drive because their creators already knew how they’d be received.

But these works still exist. And we think they deserve to be seen.

We’re not here to correct or redeem them.

We just want to give them a space they weren’t given elsewhere.

If your work has been turned away too many times, or never felt like it belonged—

You’re invited.

Eligibility: Artists at any stage in their career are encouraged to apply.

THIRDSPACE: Emerging Artist Summer Intensive Program

THIRDSPACE: Emerging Artist Summer Intensive Program is a month-long residency program at OCAD University that brings together a dynamic group of interdisciplinary emerging artists, including those in the early stages of their careers and those embarking on new directions in their creative practices.

Guided by an established Toronto-based, internationally recognized artist-in-residence Van Maltese, you will deepen and expand your work within a thematic framework.  This immersive program offers unique opportunities to explore art, culture, and the environment in and around Toronto, and includes a month of open studio access and final exhibition showcasing the innovative work you develop throughout the program.
