Evolutionary ecology course for artists
10 daily webinars from July 14 - 25, 2025

Species is an online course for artists to learn about evolutionary ecology that features lectures form researchers around the world. It will take place over 2 weeks on-line in the summer of 2025. The program will offer daily video chats with evolutionary biologists, naturalists and artists on topics that focus on the development of life on earth and the connections between living organisms. The program will also facilitate many short one-on-one meetings with artists who make art related to wildlife. Built in to the 2 - 2.5 hours of daily programming are discussions, recommended assignments and show and tell.

EXHIBIT IN SOHO, NYC - GROWING TAKES TIME

GROWING TAKES TIME is a real-life video game disguised as a dance performance — where the audience doesn’t just watch the world change, they help build it.

Hosted by Kinetics With Karley and Josh Sauceda of ARCHIV3, this participatory performance invites artists to contribute visual works that explore growth, collaboration, tenderness, and tension. Rooted in anxiety-driven childhood games and collective problem-solving, GTT transforms relational conflict into choreography — and we’re looking for visual art that speaks to these same themes.

Selected works will be exhibited in the immersive space during the performance on May 24, 2025 in NYC.

A $100 curation fee applies to selected works.

OVERVIEW

We are so much overwhelmed with daily routine, with today’s agenda, with actions that require immediate action, that it becomes hard to step back (or rather fly up high) and look at our life from a more global prospective.

What way are we pursuing? Why have we chosen it? Where are we going to? What do we expect to see on our way?

Even if these questions are just asked, this might help us find a way towards a more harmonious life. Whether we are moving on towards a certain goal or just enjoying the walk, we are going on a way from the past into the future.

Transfiguration: Growth and Identity from Global Perspectives (Open Call for Artwork Submissions)

Reminisce the journey you have taken, the places you have traveled, and the transformation you have undergone mentally and emotionally. How have you expressed changes in your identity over the course of the pandemic? How has your persona bloomed? This 360° virtual gallery is accepting works from ALL artists regardless of background or experience. This event will be on view on our website at culturallyarts.com in the Milotska Center for Exhibitions from August 31st. Art submissions are due August 20th by 11:59 pm EST.
