No, Seriously! Open Call

OVERVIEW

Many people all over the world celebrate April 1. “April Fools’ Day”, “Humor Holiday”, “Day of Laughter”, you name it.

Although we like to be in good mood and believe that positiveness spins the world, we don’t quite like to limit good mood to holidays - even official unofficial like April 1.

In a wish to retort, we would like to announce a “No, Seriously!” open call. We would like to see your artworks dedicated not only to seriousness but also mocking the imposed good mood, false happiness and forced jokes. The open call is not just about seriousness but about sincerity of emotions, too.

Nature's Endurance | Call For Artists

We are now open for submissions for our upcoming exhibition: Nature’s Endurance.

Held as part of Artworks's The Joys of Nature 2023 events season, this exhibition is designed to create space for taking notice of the natural world around us, and considering our impact upon it.

Organised by two students from the University of York, Ellie Yang and Rachael Chadwick, we welcome submissions from all of artworks that take notice of the natural world and consider the impact of humans upon it.

Submissions of artwork should respond to the state of nature around us and the ways in which it endures. We are looking for works which explore (but are not limited to) the themes of:

Immigration, Integration and Community

This is an open call from Kulturschöpfer’s Green Hill Gallery for a group exhibition from Jan 23rd until Feb 12, 2023. We are looking for Berlin-based artists who have worked on the topic of immigration and integration. The exhibition will create the backdrop for a podium discussion on the topic of immigration by the federal ministry of the interior on January 23rd. The minister Nancy Faeser will be present at the discussion. Please apply by January 17th with a short artist statement on how your work is related to the topic of immigration, picture(s) of the work(s) you want to exhibit, and your vita. If accepted, your work must be in our gallery by 17:00 on Thursday, January 19th.

Call for Art-ANIMALIA

Art Fluent invites artists worldwide to submit artwork to our online exhibit, ANIMALIA.

THEME
The animal kingdom is full of fascinating and incredible creatures, each with their own unique abilities, behaviors, and characteristics. There are over 1.5 million known species of animals, and new species are still being discovered today.

Animals have been depicted in art for thousands of years, representing a wide range of symbolism, from grace and speed to strength and nobility to transformation and freedom. But we can all agree that they are beautiful and captivating, and we will forever be drawn to their natural beauty and power. Show us ANIMALIA from your perspective.
