Silence, Voice, Resonance

Open Call for visual artists to participate in the international exhibition titled “Silence, Voice, Resonance”, taking place in Athens, Greece. This is a curated exhibition, focusing on the interplay between silence and voice as integral elements of human experience, drawing on philosophical, psychological, and sociopolitical perspectives to explore their roles in perception, communication, and self-realization.

The official languages of the exhibition are Greek and English, and a commemorative catalog will be published in both languages. Alongside the physical exhibition, an international online version will be available via the ARTgrID platform for one month.

Curator: Paris Kapralos.

sea change - call for art

Our Summer 2024 virtual exhibition, “sea change seeks artworks that explore dramatic transformations, changes, or shifts. Is it possible to locate the exact point in time when something becomes unrecognizable as itself? What does that look like? What processes, experiences, and events act as catalysts to personal and collective metamorphoses? What do they feel like? The works in sea change speak to moments when the familiar is suddenly made strange and new. Any mediums are welcome. This exhibition will be juried by artist Cort Hartle.

You may submit up to 3 artworks for a $5 fee, due July 20, 2024. Current and upcoming students can submit for free with the code “STUDENT2024”.

Alternative Night of Experimental Film

After three successful screening events attended by wonderful creators, the Alternative Night of Experimental Film is back - once again inviting submissions of short experimental films and moving image works that will compose the programme for an informal screening in an alternative music venue in Kingston upon Thames, London.

We are particularly interested in works by emerging filmmakers and artists based in London; the aim of the event is to create a platform for conversation and networking for those who are exploring the alternative creative paths through experimental cinema.
