OPEN CALL 'ESSENTIAL STRUCTURE' MINIMALISM EXHIBITION

Gerald Moore Gallery is pleased to invite submissions to this year’s Open Call Essential Structure.

With artwork devod of pictorial and decorative content and stripped of external references, Minimalism was one of the most important and influential movements of the late Modernist era of the 1960s and early 70s. Its features included an emphasis on pure abstract form, specific materials, and precise, clean presentation. Its impact can still be seen, not just in the artworld, but also in design, architectur, literatur, and music.

The exhibition Essential Structure aims to survey the spirit of Minimalism in the work of artists today, and examine how its principals continue to inspire creativity in a variety of media.

Festival of the Arts

Call for Entries:

This popular and well-attended festival will feature 50+ artist booths, food and wine, music and entertainment. The festival is presented by Healdsburg Center of the Arts in partnership with the City of Healdsburg’s Community Services Department. Accepted media will include painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor), works on paper (drawing, pastel, printmaking) photography, glass, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, textile/fiber, wood, mixed media (collage, assemblage).

The Royal Society of British Artists Open Call 2023

The RBA invites painters, sculptors and printmakers to submit their work for consideration to be shown in the Society’s Annual Exhibition 2023.

This year The RBA will select artists to join them in their 200th Birthday Exhibition at The Mall Galleries in Central London.

The RBA has always encouraged creativity and originality in a variety of Media and this year is no different in that respect.

We hope you will join them to make this show one that has been worth waiting 200 years for.

Crocker Kingsley

The Crocker-Kingsley Exhibition was first juried in 1940, a tradition that continues to the present day. Over the past 80 years, this prestigious show has included many premier names in American and California art, including Robert Arneson, Elmer Bischoff, Fred Dalkey, David Gilhooly, Ralph Goings, Gregory Kondos, Roland Petersen, Mel Ramos, Ruth Rippon, and Wayne Thiebaud. In the past, this competition has solely featured California artists. However, starting in 2021, the exhibition will be open to submissions from all artists nationally. Works selected by this year’s juror, Carrie Lederer will be on display in all 4 galleries at Blue Line Arts.
