The Gallery by MUI presents our first Open Art Call for the upcoming virtual exhibition, the little stories we tell ourselves. We would like to open the call to any kind of creative or artistic work that connects to the topic.
We define the little stories we tell ourselves as the realities we construct to comprehend life and create our identity. It can be understood, misunderstood, isolating or intimate. This call would like to gather digital artworks, pictures, videos, etc. that are able to represent the multifaceted worlds we create.

this is an inclusive curatorial project that centers BIPOC, immigrants, women, and artists on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum.

ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with Venice Events and ACIT Venice – Italian-German Cultural Association, is selecting all interesting photo, painting, video art, installation/sculpture and performance art works to include in the next exhibition THE BODY LANGUAGE – ITSLIQUID International Art Exhibition 2021 that will be held in Venice during the period of Venice Carnival 2021, at THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space, from February 11 to March 12, 2021, and at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello from February 12 to March 12, 2021.
THE BODY LANGUAGE analyzes the hidden parts of our identities, through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness. The human body is a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces to perceive the surrounding reality; a strong communication system with its own language and infinite ways of expression. The exhibition will be presented during the period of Venice Carnival 2021 and we invite artists to be inspired by the magical power of Venetian costumes, exploring the connection between desires, needs, fears through rituals that brings human kind to change, to transform and to evolve their inner world.

Art Fluent invites artists worldwide to submit artwork to our online exhibit, IDENTITY.
THEME
IDENTITY-We all have a certain idea of who we are through our identity. But to get there, we need to probe beneath the surface. To get a sense of ourselves, we need to explore who we are, how we are viewed by the world, and the characteristics that define us. Our beliefs, qualities, expressions, and personalities each collectively form our identity. We seek artwork that goes beneath the surface to reveal aspects of the subject that usually remain hidden. Show us what identity means to you through your perspective.

Notification of acceptance and online gallery opening by Friday, January 22, 2020.

$20 for first entry/$5 for each additional entry, you may enter up to 20 total. Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance.
ELIGIBILITY
This call is open to artists worldwide, both amateur and professional.
RULES
Work that is copied or done under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible. Open to ALL fine art mediums (oil, acrylic, watermedia, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, digital art) except video.
SELECTION PROCESS
Director’s choice. Please note, there is no personal feedback given by jurors.
ENTRY PROCEDURE
Entry is done through CaFÉ, a web-based service that allows artists to upload images and organize their artwork for submissions to galleries. To apply for a call, you must leave our website and go to the CaFÉ website at www.callforentry.org where you can create a FREE artist account. You will add your details and upload your images to CaFÉ and then you can submit work to IDENTITY. Click here for a direct link to IDENTITY in CaFÉ.
MEDIA PREPARATION
All images must be in JPEG format using CaFÉ guidelines. The image size must be 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side. Maximum file size is 5 mb.
NOTIFICATION
Notification will be done by email, everyone who submits will be notified of the juror’s selections. If for any reason you do not hear from us by the notification date, please check the filters in your email account. Notification emails are sent to the email on file with CaFÉ.
SALES
All sales inquiries will be directed to the artist’s website. For any artwork that is sold, the artists receive 100% of the sale.
GIVING BACK
A portion of the proceeds from the entry fees are donated to organizations committed to the arts and supporting artists.
REGULATIONS
By entering our calls for art through CaFÉ you are agreeing to be added to Art Fluent's email list for forthcoming artist opportunities. By submitting images, you agree that the images are your own work, you own all rights to the images, and you take full responsibility for the content of all images, including the likeness of recognizable individuals. The actual artwork will remain the property of the artist, our mission is to promote artists and their work. Should your work be accepted, you grant Art Fluent the right to reproduce your image on our website, on social media, and where appropriate to help promote our online exhibitions. Art Fluent will always credit you and your copyright wherever feasible. We will not use your image for any other purpose without the artist’s permission.

Black Mirror: self portraits and reflections on global Black identity

Black 3rd Space (the arts & visioning collective of Black Lives Matter Nashville) is seeking creative works from Black artists, globally, which speak to identity - literally or figuratively, personally or socially.
Self portraits are not limited to visual art and may include writing, fashion, film, makeup, etc.

submissions are open now through November 11th at midnight
submissions must be emailed to Black3rdSpace@gmail.com as individual .jpeg, .jpg, .png files, or a shared Google Docs folder.
PDFs and any files submitted that are not formatted for Instagram will be reformatted at the creative direction of the curator(s). Please note upon submission if you have specifications.
submissions are open to all artists, creatives, and makers of Black/African descent. There are no geographic/location, age, or experience restrictions to submit. We want any and all mediums and art forms that fulfill the show theme (as long as your submission can be emailed)
submissions must include:
a copy of your work you wish to exhibit
full title information for each piece submitted (including medium used)
your preferred name, pronouns, and IG handle
image descriptions
optional materials:
a short description, reflection, or artist statement
a picture of yourself
