Treephonia: Live 2022 - Open Call for Composers

Treephonia invites composers to apply for our inaugural Open Call 2022, an opportunity to write new works inspired by trees and our environment.

Treephonia: Live 2022 explores new relationships between humankind and nature. It offers the experience of close connections between music, musicians, and audiences in shared natural and social spaces.

Six UK-based composers will be chosen by a selection panel and commissioned to write new works inspired by trees.

These new works will be performed by the professional Treephonia Ensemble at the Treephonia: Live concert series in London in Autumn 2022.

IN TERRA - On earth - Open call for Athens exhibtiions

We here at SIILK GALLERY are looking for artists from all walks of life around the world for our 2022 exhibitions. As things are reopening back up here in Athens, Greece we are taking submissions from photographers as well as installation artists and video for June/July and the Fall September - December group shows.

The Bohemian neighbourhood Metaxourgeio is a cultural and artistic neighborhood brimming with performing arts theatres, studios and galleries showcasing the works of Greek and international artists. It centers on leafy Avdi Square, a popular gathering place set amidst lively bars and fashionable shops. Street art adorns brick walls and green spaces, while neoclassical buildings house cafes and small-plate restaurants.

Televised Revolution: Working Towards Criminal Justice Reform Through Art

America is heralded as both the capital of consumerism and commercialization, with the highest GDP in the world, and the capital of mass incarceration, with the highest prison population in the world. Criminal justice reform is long overdue, and though underpaid prison labor plays a role in American production, those convicted of a crime are still treated as unvalued members of society. A simple campaign that focuses on viewing convicts as fellow citizens and humans and paying them fair wages for their production is necessary in order to achieve criminal justice reform.

OPEN CALL: International Laboratory of Artistic Creation

Applications are open, until April 22, to participate in the third edition of the Linha de Fuga International Laboratory, a creation laboratory that is a space for meetings and exchanges of artistic practices, which will take place between September 16 and October 9, 2022, in Coimbra, Portugal.

Dedicated to the theme «The Ethics of Care», the international call will select 15 participants and is open to arts professionals and documenters who must submit a work in process, which considers the topic under discussion. Entree fee is necessary but not obligatory, Linha de Fuga works to find fellowships for the laboratory participants in need.
