For 2021 we are ready to create and develop strategies for open collaboration where connecting, linking, exchanging and manifesting will be the core of a participative project.

ACT FESTIVAL 2021 CALL FOR ARTISTS

ACT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL FOR EMERGING PERFORMING ARTISTS OPEN CALL 

***EDIT DEADLINE EXTENDED*** 31 JANUARY

ACT 2021 International Festival for Emerging Performing Artists has opened its call for proposals until 13 December 2020. The pieces must be created by emerging companies or authors, they can belong to any performing arts discipline and must have a maximum duration of 30 minutes.

ACT continues to be a point of reference in the performing arts with innovative proposals and with the participation of international programmers.

The XVIII edition of the festival will be held in Bilbao and Barakaldo between June 2nd and 5th 2021 at the Guggenheim Bilbao Museoa, Kafe Antzokia and Teatro Barakaldo.

Open Call - The Belgrado Shop Window Residency 2020 - 2021

Crossed by the current context, we think about the need to investigate the possibilities of artistic endeavors, limited by the provisions of social distancing, we look for alternatives of coexistence through the artistic activation of our Shopwindow.

Located on Belgrano Ave. in the center of Buenos Aires, in an area with high vehicular and pedestrian traffic, close to squares, supermarkets, hospitals, subway stations and trains, The Belgrado Shop Window has a high flow of people that pass in front of it daily, even in this context.

OPEN CALL TO DANCERS: [INSERT FEELING HERE] immersive art experience

We are looking for dancers (modern) to collaborate with us on a unique immersive art exhibition for two nights only on 26 & 27 February in the Old Biscuit Factory in Bermondsey. The performance is a conversation between the paintbrush of the artist and the movement of the body of the dancer to the music. Art, dance and music become entangled guided by the flow of the creation process.

The performance is part of a unique immersive art exhibition [INSERT FEELING HERE], an artist reflection on chasing our own emotions, the highs and the lows and making space for everything in between. Hidden away in the iconic Old Biscuit Factory, dive into the creative minds of 11 artists to experience art like never before.

Performing Arts Creation Residencies 2020

Overview

Banff Centre is committed to the commissioning, development, and production of new works in all major performance disciplines, and encourages bold collaborations across disciplines. Performing Arts residencies are designed for artists to work on the initial creation phase of a new work in one or more of our studio spaces.

What does the program offer?

These residencies offer a range of work spaces and facilities depending on participants' needs and availability. Banff Centre provides limited production support for these residencies. Additional technical support may be negotiated when possible. Partial residencies may be available.
