Utah Public Art - UofU Applied Sciences Facility

The Utah Public Art Program of the Division of Arts and Museums, in association with the Division of Facilities and Construction Management and the University of Utah is seeking artists interested in creating site specific art installation for the new Applied Sciences Facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Artists from Utah are encouraged to submit letters of interest and qualifications for the creation of public artwork for the new Applied Sciences Facility at the University of Utah. This project is also open to any resident US artist. 

Budget: $165,000, deadline September 7, 2022

Compass Live Art – Artist Residencies

Compass Live Art invites residency proposals from artists working in any medium whose practice is based in public engagement – artists who are interested in collaborating with the public to make work. Selected artists will be invited to Leeds in 2023 to develop ideas in a mixture of studio time and public-facing activity.

This may include meetings, events or pop-ups with individuals, groups and networks of particular relevance to the subject matter of your proposal. It might include public consultation, research or scratch exhibitions. The residency can be crafted to the needs of the project. 

OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS' EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: GLADSTONE PARK PUBLIC ART COMMISSION 2022

The Gladstone Park Public Art Commission seeks to develop three high quality artistic interventions which acknowledge the park’s link to the transatlantic slave trade whilst celebrating and amplifying hidden histories of Brent's Black community. The long-term vision is to create a space for learning, reflection and continued conversation with the community so this hidden past is embraced as part of the borough’s history.

This is an exciting and high-profile commission with the opportunity to create a lasting legacy for the borough. The council are seeking expressions of interest from artists/organisations to design, develop and deliver the following three artworks;

McCall Public Library Integrated Artwork

Call to Artists: McCall Public Library Integrated Artwork
Deadline for Applications: Tuesday, January 18, 2022
Budget: $60,000
The City of McCall and McCall Public Library Board are seeking an artist or artist-team, 18 years or older and living within Idaho or one of its contiguous states, to work with designers and construction contractors to design, fabricate, and install artwork as a unique integrated or functional aspect of the upcoming 12,000 sq. ft. McCall Public Library Expansion Project. 

Global Day of Creative Action

Micro Galleies is calling out to creatives to join us in our Global Day of Creative Action, where artists come together to create and draw attention to climate change in our communties, around the world. The Global Day of Creative Action is on November 6, and is a free, open platform for anyone who wants to use creativity in their community, to draw attention the environment. The 24 hour project will take place to coincide with the COP26 in Glasgow (the 26th United Nations Climate Change conference).

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: 11TH EDITION OF SCULPTURE IN THE CITY

Sculpture in the City is an award-winning urban sculpture park which launches every year in June. A cultural initiative delivered by the City of London in partnership with 11 local businesses, it is sited in the EC3 (insurance district) area of the City, around the iconic towers of the Gherkin, the Leadenhall Building (The Cheesegrater), Lloyd’s building, 22 Bishopsgate as well as inside Leadenhall Market. The 11th edition of Sculpture in the City offers a very unique opportunity for sculptors, artists, designers and illustrators to not only submit across any one of the five primary categories which are: 3D Sculpture, 2D Graphic Installation, Audio & Visual, Hanging 3D Sculpture and Light & Sound.
