Open Call - IN//BETWEEN #7 Artist Residency

Green Hill Gallery is pleased to announce the open call for IN//BETWEEN #7 art residency and exhibition program. In//Between is not just an exhibition - it is a collaborative project that brings together artists from different cultures and parts of the world.

In//Between is about creating a space that does not belong to any artist, culture, language, art form, or discipline. For four weeks, the artists selected will get the chance to examine the ways they have previously seen and done things and look to what lies ahead: an open canvas, a blank role of film, a block of clay, an idea or vision that has not been thought of before.

2023 Artist Residency Program @ The Watermill Center

The Watermill Center’s Artist Residency Program began in 2006 when The Center officially opened as a year-round facility. Each year collectives and individuals take up residence at The Center to live and develop works that critically investigate, challenge, and extend the existing norms of artistic practice.

The Artist Residency Program is process-based, without the expectation or promise of a final exhibition of the work. Watermill provides artists with time and space to focus on developing their practice in a communal environment that encourages experimentation. Artists-in-Residence share their creative process with the community through open rehearsals, workshops, and artist talks.

Luminous Bodies

Luminous Bodies is a two-week residency to create artworks that shed new light on the human body. Its objective is to challenge “normativity” and Otherness. Its goal is to reinvent and re-present the body in most inclusive and diverse ways.

Resident artist talks, gallery tours, visual and textual references, guest artist talks, and regular critiques (individual with Facilitator and group critiques) help uncover how our bodies are culturally and aesthetically constructed, displayed and controlled.

Athens Art Residency at SIILK Gallery

We here at SIILK GALLERY are looking for artists from all walks of life around the world for our 2022 residency program.

With the success of our current gallery throughout 2019/20 we have launched a new exhibition space in 2021 in the Athens artists quarter, Metaxourgeio. This has given us the opportunity to transform the upper spaces above the gallery into a residency space, self contained studio and exhibition space.

The residency will consist of a 4 week running program with accommodation where you can live and work from the Siilk Building in Athens, Greece. Use the mezzanine level of the gallery for a show for the 4 weeks or use it like an open studio, run workshops, talks, utilize the space in whichever ways you want.
