For this art competition, 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are encouraged to submit their best work depicting an arrangement of everyday inanimate objects.  The subjects of the art can range from a single object to a complex arrangement of objects.

The work can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction and all artists, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit their best representational or abstract art and photography.

International Art Competitio Still Life

Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 2nd "Still Life" Online Art Competition for the month of November. Artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. The theme of this competition requires that artists incorporate either natural objects, such as foods, flowers, plants, rocks, shells, or man-made objects, such as books, vases, jewelry, coins, pipes, etc. We will not consider still-life paintings depicting dead animals or human skulls. All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. First place will be on the poster of the show. All winning artists will receive a digital award certificate.

Beauty in Decay

Beauty is subjective in the eye of the viewer. Societal conventions pressure us to conform in like-mindedness to visual pinnacles, yet the most ethereal craft often originates from divergent work that transgresses tradition. How does your work depict "beauty" in our deconstruction of the captured image? Potential subject matter includes but is not limited to abandoned places, found objects, still life, and the examination of decomposition and demise. Beauty in Decay is an international juried group exhibition open to photographers ages 18 years and older. All black and white, color, conventional and non-traditional photographic and digital post-production processes are welcome for submission.

Still Life Group Show

Enter your original or limited edition artwork where the main theme is inanimate objects for the group exhibtion "Still Life". Best in show is voted on by the public and wins $100 cash prize and 2nd and 3rd get free entry to the next show of their choice. All artwork must be for sale.

The Captured Image

The Captured Image is an international call for all forms of photographic art. This exhibition has no overarching theme save the light which traverses the ether, and begets a photograph, "the captured image." All genres of photography, black & white, color, traditional and non-traditional, and digital post-production photographic processes are welcome for submission.

Still II: An Elaboration on the Inanimate

The Chateau Gallery’s second annual still life exhibition. From ancient Greco-Roman artworks to Dutch vanitas paintings, still life has permeated art history for ages. Show us your most inimitable or transformative scenes of inanimate objects. What contemporary elaborations do you add to this lasting genre of imagery? Between wilting flowers and bowls of oranges, what do you bring to the table?
