Storytelling: A Visual Narrative

Storytelling: A Visual Narrative invites artists to tell their most important stories through their individual style and interpretation. Your storytelling may be personal or objective, representational or abstract, and may be derived from a novel or poem. Provide us with a window into your lived or imagined experience.

Narrative art is art that tells a story, either as a moment in an ongoing story or as a sequence of events unfolding over time. Narratives in contemporary art range from highly straightforward and factual to magical and fairytale-like. This exhibition will showcase diverse perspectives and unique thinking.

SMCK On Reel video festival in Bucharest: Open call for submissions

SMCK On Reel reshapes aesthetics and promotional strategies at Romanian Jewelry Week. Three minutes of moving images can impregnate the mind of the viewer with the significance and uniqueness of the artist’s work more than thousand jewelry photos. The secret lies in the plot, and the visualization of the artist’s intimate world of phantasy.

Stories are remembered and retold, while unconnected images fade away. A reel, film or video is a row of moving images that build up a fascinating narrative worth watching. It is an eye-catcher.

SMCK On Reel attracts jewelry VIPs and customers, and creates a new space for promotional strategies. Videos are easy to produce, to present, to screen, to understand, and to love.

The Happy Sad-sack - Storytelling & Collaborative Practice with Array Collective

CAMP is a residential arts facility in the French Pyrenees. It's a place where great art is made, new movements are formed, new ideas are explored and groundbreaking people are nurtured. CAMP is located in Aulus les Bains, the last village before the France/Spain Pyrenean frontier chain. The location is spectacular - we are nestled at 750m above sea level, surrounded by snowcapped peaks over 3000m high, ancient forests and cascading waterfalls. There are eagles, lammergeiers, vultures, ibex and bears. Walk out of the residency, and within ten minutes you are completely alone in one of the most beautiful mountain landscapes in Europe.
