AAP Magazine #38 Women, $1,000 Cash Prizes + Publication

Our 38th printed issue of AAP Magazine will feature the best projects showcasing the theme "Women"'.

Since the medium's inception, women have been the subject of photographers but also experimented photography as a tool of documentation and a space of self-expression. This 38th edition of AAP Magazine encourages photographers to celebrate all the important things women do.

Send us a cohesive body of work or portfolio - capturing the essence, hard-work, beauty, resilience, kindness... of women! The subject is completely open, it can be fashion, nude, documentary, portrait, sports, fine art, commercial.. Any capture method or process, whether digital or analog, including monochromatic toning, is welcome.

New English Art Club OPEN CALL

Artists are invited to submit work for exhibition alongside members of the New English Art Club at the NEAC Annual Exhibition 2024.

The New English Art Club (NEAC) showcase not only for its members but also for aspiring artists: with a history going back more than a hundred years, it is an opportunity for work to be seen alongside some of the best artists painting today, held at Mall Galleries in London.

The exhibition offers over ten prizes and awards, including, NEW The Ken and Dora Howard Prize (£1,000) for a painting that best captures a sense of light & The Hermione Hammond Drawing Prize (£2,000) for a drawing by an emerging artist aged 35 or under.

Seeing the Self: Storytelling Through Self-Portraiture

Exploring the art of self-portraiture as a practice of self-knowing and conscious self-expression for women and non-gender conforming People of Color, Seeing The Self considers how reclaiming a visual narrative through the photographic medium can be a possible healing modality for those so often rendered invisible.

The art of self-portraiture provides a way of confronting our visual presence gently and with intention, seeing the subject not as object but as the embodiment of representation, in a process of becoming and reclaiming agency of one’s identity.

PRISMA ART PRIZE - ROME - 14TH EDITION

The call for entries of the 14th edition of Prisma Art Prize, an international art prize born to promote emerging painters and visual artist, is now open for submissions. 

As our name and logo suggest, we want to be a prism that refracts all the possible outcomes of the painting process: we aim to collect and exhibit a selection of works of art that is inclusive, diverse and representative of the possibilities that the medium of painting offers to artists.
