Winter 2021 Open Call

PGV is pleased to announce our Winter 2021 Open Call! Emerging and mid-career artists are invited to submit their work for consideration in our online group exhibition put together by our Guest Juror, Adama Delphine Fawundu. All submissions will be considered for the Exhibition.

Adama Delphine Fawundu is a photographer and visual artist born in Brooklyn of Mende and Bubi descent. She uses photography, video, sound and collage, to explore themes such as decolonization, freedom, ancestral memory and indigenous cosmologies. Fawundu co-founded the collective MFON while co-editing and publishing the book MFON: Women Photographers of the African Diaspora. Fawundu’s works are in the collections at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Princeton University Museum, Norton Museum of Art, The David C. Driskell Art Collection, amongst other museums and collections. She is an Assistant Professor of Visual Arts at Columbia University. 

Eligibility & Terms 
- Artists working in all mediums are welcome to apply.
- All artwork submitted must be professionally photographed.
- Artists may submit up to 3 works.

Submission Fee : $20
Deadline: November 15th

About Exhibition
- The theme of the show will come from the work submitted. 
- Selected artists will be notified by December 1st
- Exhibition will open December 15th, 2021
- Exhibition will close January 15th, 2022
- All artwork in the exhibition will be for sale, with artists receiving 80% of the final sale.
